Spoonie Warrior Shop is a family run business based in Cornwall, UK by Emma and her partner, Sam.

Emma Kay

I am a fellow spoonie living with multiple chronic illnesses including Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Fibromyalgia and Chronic Migraine.

I love the outdoors which hasn't been easy to navigate with multiple chronic illnesses, but I enjoy hiking, sea swimming, wild camping and paddleboarding.

I am also dynamically disabled and a part time ambulatory wheelchair user.

Sam Pollard

I recently became involved in the chronic illness community when my partner Emma was diagnosed and was stunned by how warm and accepting this community is. We look out for each other and understand that it’s important to help others through their tougher days.

Now more than ever I believe it’s crucial to make our society more aware of the Spoonie community, thus making a more accessible, accepting and loving society for all.

I wear several bracelets myself as I suffer from migraines and anxiety and believe very strongly in advocacy for mental health. Growing this business with Emma has been amazing and I only wish to continue our journey in growing this small Spoonie business.
